Don't miss this unique committee experience, designed to create an intimate gathering between DLs and leaders in the Denver business community featuring open and candid discussion with our guest leader about their role in the industry, as well as leadership challenges and successes throughout their career.

KATHIE BARSTNAR
Executive Director
NAIOP Colorado

Since 1999, Kathie Barstnar has served as the Executive Director for NAIOP Colorado. She is a three-time winner of the Chapter Executive Director of the Year and was honored two more times for her work on the development of a detailed written strategic plan for NAIOP Colorado’s Public Policy Program. She has also received the coveted Capitol Dome Award for her work on energy benchmarking and construction defect litigation reform. Kathie was recognized twice as a Finalist in the Denver Business Journal Power Book awards in the Commercial Real Estate category. This event recognizes C-level executives who are considered among Denver’s most influential business leaders.

On behalf of NAIOP Colorado, Kathie has served on the the Energize Denver Benchmarking Task Force (2016); the 80 x 50 Climate Task Force (2017); Green Roof Task Force (2018); the Climate Action Task Force (2020); the Energize Denver Task Force on Building Performance Standards (2021); and the Colorado Energy Office Building Performance Standards Task Force (2022). Kathie was instrumental in starting the Colorado Real Estate Alliance, a coalition of real estate related organizations, and she served as its first chair. She continues to serve on the leadership team.

Kathie is active in several professional associations on both a local and national level. She currently serves on the Metro Denver Economic Development Council’s Executive Committee. She was a participant in the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Legacy Denver Program and served on the Leadership Foundation Board of Directors. She is a graduate of the Leadership Program of the Rockies and the LPR Graduate School of Persuasion.
