ANDY KOLOS Colorado Market President, Wintrust Commercial Real Estate

 For the past 14 years, Andy Kolos has been a highly engaged member and leader of the of the Colorado Commercial Real Estate community. Most recently, in September 2021, Kolos launched the expansion of Wintrust Bank into Colorado, where he currently serves as Colorado Market President, Commercial Real Estate. Kolos's market insights and industry expertise have helped Wintrust Colorado build a Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio of over $600 million by offering creative lending solutions across a national footprint. Across his career, Kolos has originated more than $1 billion in middle-market commercial real estate commitments.

Before spearheading Wintrust Colorado, Kolos spent 3.5 years at BBVA, USA, serving as the Denver Market Head for Commercial Real Estate. During his time with BBVA, he built a substantial commercial real estate portfolio with Denver-based sponsors, diversified across multiple asset classes. Prior to BBVA, Kolos spent 7.5 years at Zions Bancorporation (d/b/a Vectra Bank Colorado), growing his network and building the foundational skills that allow him to be the market leader he is today.

Kolos spent his collegiate years studying architecture at the University of Illinois, Chicago. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Kolos spent four years practicing architecture in his hometown of Chicago, IL, where he gained an in-depth understanding of design and construction. Having an inherent business acumen within his industry, Kolos then applied to the University of Denver, earning a master's degree in Real Estate.
