On the evening of April 27, 2023, MBA student teams from the University of Colorado and University of Denver will compete in the 21st  Annual Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge presented by Land Title Guarantee Company - a real world, development competition sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service and Impact Finance Center (IFC), and featuring the highly anticipated The River Mile Project, developed by Revesco Properties and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.  

Join Land Title Guarantee Company and NAIOP Colorado on Thursday, April 27, 2023, as we cheer on the competing MBA Students from CU and DU as they present their plans for The River Mile to a live audience of 700+ real estate professionals!    

'The Challenge" is the premier real estate competition that pairs graduate-level students from the University of Colorado and the University of Denver and industry leaders in the Colorado real estate community to evaluate development opportunities. The focus of the 2023 Challenge is the 62-acre River Mile project located on the current home of Elitch Gardens amusement park, developed by Revesco Properties and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.  A truly one-of-a-kind project and the largest in downtown Denver, The River Mile is envisioned as a sustainable, walkable downtown neighborhood. Within this 62-acre parcel, student competitors are tasked with determining where at the project is the best location to start development and to attract users and subsequent residents and visitors. While creating a sense of place in this initial phase, student teams will need to comply with The River Mile zone district, including affordable housing requirements.

This year's Challenge is sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service and Impact Finance Center (IFC), whose goal is to educate the next generation of MBA students and the real estate development community about the benefits of mass timber. Accordingly, students will need to incorporate the use of Mass Timber in their proposals, showcasing this sustainable product and the need for sustainable forestry. 

Be there on April 27th at the Hilton Denver City Center, where student finalists will present their recommendations for The River Mile Project site to an audience of over 700 real estate professionals and compete against one another for scholarships and the NAIOP Cup!

 REGISTRATION: 

Registration deadline is Monday, April 24, 2023, at 11:59 PM MT.  Registration includes 1 drink ticket, light appetizers and small plates, plus after-party.
