EVENT PARTICIPATION POLICIES & CODE OF CONDUCT

CREDA Colorado is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, safe, and professional environment for all members, guests, sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff. Our events are designed to foster meaningful business relationships, professional development, and collaboration within Colorado's commercial real estate community.

By registering for or attending a CREDA Colorado event or program, participants acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to comply with these Event Participation Policies & Code of Conduct.  


Professional Conduct

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat fellow attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, venue staff, and volunteers with courtesy and respect.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner that reflects positively on the commercial real estate industry.
  • Respect differing viewpoints and engage in constructive, civil dialogue.
  • Follow all venue rules, safety procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Comply with instructions provided by CREDA Colorado staff and event volunteers.

Unacceptable Conduct

CREDA Colorado will not tolerate behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, unsafe, or disruptive environment. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind.
  • Unwelcome verbal, written, or physical conduct.
  • Stalking or inappropriate physical contact.
  • Disruptive behavior that interferes with presentations, networking, or event operations.
  • Damage to venue property or the property of others.
  • Possession of illegal substances or any unlawful activity.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please notify a CREDA Colorado staff member as soon as possible. Reports will be handled promptly and discreetly to the extent reasonably possible.


Enforcement

CREDA Colorado reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate in response to violations of this Code of Conduct. Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:

  • A verbal or written warning.
  • Removal from the event without refund.
  • Suspension or revocation of event privileges.
  • Suspension or termination of membership in accordance with the association's governing documents, when applicable.
  • Notification of venue security or law enforcement when warranted.

Photography, Recording, Social Media & Artificial Intelligence Tools

CREDA Colorado encourages attendees to capture and share their event experience through photographs and social media. We welcome posts that highlight the value of our programs, provided they are respectful of fellow attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and the event experience. We encourage attendees to tag CREDA Colorado, our event sponsors, and presenters when appropriate and to share their event experience in a professional and respectful manner.

To protect the privacy of participants and the intellectual property of presenters, attendees may not record, livestream, or create audio or video recordings of educational sessions, panel discussions, presentations, or other event content without prior authorization from CREDA Colorado.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) meeting assistants, automated transcription services, or other technologies designed to capture, record, transcribe, summarize, analyze, or reproduce event content is prohibited without prior written approval from CREDA Colorado.

CREDA Colorado may utilize approved photography, video, recording, transcription, or AI-assisted technologies for official association purposes. Exceptions may be granted for approved accessibility accommodations or other authorized purposes.

Presentation materials, slides, handouts, and educational content remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or republished without permission.


Health & Safety

CREDA Colorado is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. We work closely with our host venues to support appropriate health and safety practices and ask attendees to exercise good judgment and consideration for others while participating in our programs.

Participants are expected to comply with all applicable venue policies and event requirements in effect at the time of the event.


Assumption of Risk

By registering for and attending a CREDA Colorado event, you acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks. As a condition of attendance, you agree to release and hold harmless the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) Colorado, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA), and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, affiliates, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, or damages related to illness, injury, or other circumstances arising from participation in the event.


Photography & Media Consent

Registration for and attendance at CREDA Colorado events constitutes your consent to the capture and use of your image, likeness, voice, and comments in photographs, video recordings, livestreams, and other event-related promotional, educational, and marketing materials, including print publications, websites, email communications, and social media.
