On the afternoon of April 29, 2021, MBA student teams from the University of Colorado and University of Denver will compete in the 19th Annual Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge presented by Land Title Guarantee Company - a real world, development competition featuring the Dowd Junction site, sponsored by the Town of Minturn - a 15-acre site nestled between Vail and Beaver Creek in Eagle County, Colorado that will provides excellent access along I-70 and will act as a gateway to the town of Minturn.

For the first time the Challenge history, the featured project site is outside of the greater Denver metro area, providing new challenges for student competitors to work through. This is an exclusive invitation to attend the Hybrid Competition which features unique virtual or in-person learning and networking opportunities!

Join Land Title Guarantee Company and NAIOP Colorado on Thursday, April 29th as we cheer on the competing MBA Students from CU and DU as they present their plans for the Dowd Junction Site to a hybrid audience!

  • Architectural Design & Creative Placemaking Panel: Featured panel of architectural resources share their design plans for the Dowd Junction site.
  • "Past Challenge Site Developer" Panel: Past "Challenge" sites have been redeveloped into new and transformative communities to include: 9+CO, North Wynkoop, Market Station, and The Point at Nine Mile. A select panel of guests from Continuum Partners, Koelbel and Company, and Westfield Development will share how the "Challenge" and past competitors influenced their overall design and development planning.
  • Flexible Schedule! You get to pick and choose which portion of the virtual or in-person competition sessions you want to attend throughout the day. See the detailed schedule below.
  • Plus, Announcement of Competition Winner and Networking Reception hosted by Brue Baukol Capital Partners (in-person attendees only)
