NAIOP Colorado is excited to welcome a new class of students to the 2025 Commercial Real Estate (CRE) High School Academy, in proud partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC). Building on the success of our 2024 program, this two-day immersive experience will connect high school students from diverse backgrounds with hands-on exposure to Denver’s commercial real estate industry.

Program Overview:
Over the course of two days, students will:

• Participate in hands-on project site tours throughout the metro area, including visit to developments led by McWhinney and Evergreen Devco, Inc. 

• Engage in exclusive sit-downs with real estate development teams to explore what it takes to bring a project to life.

• Take part in mini challenges designed to test their knowledge and creativity in planning and developing future communities.

• Gain an understanding of the Commercial Real Estate Life Cycle, from site selection to construction and leasing.

In 2024, we hosted 10 high school students representing a range of genders and ethnicities. Students were paired with industry mentors and received a financial stipend to support their participation.
