Deidra Gonzales
Director of Business Development, Calvada Surveying, Inc.
Co-Chair, Developing Leaders Committee

Deidra Gonzales is currently the Director of Business Development for Calvada Surveying, Inc., a firm specializing in professional land surveying services for office, retail, mixed-use and large residential development projects. As part of Deidra’s role at Calvada, she also presents and communicates an innovative solution for 3D as-built documentation called High-Definition Surveying (HDS), or 3D laser scanning.

Deidra currently works as the Director of Business Development at Calvada Surveying and has three years of working experience in the commercial real estate industry. Deidra feels strongly that working with Calvada Surveying “has proved an incredible way to meet industry leaders from all different disciplines.” Deidra goes on to state that for a particular project “it is never set in stone who manages the necessary survey work, so (she) has gotten the opportunity to work with every discipline involved in a project from beginning to end including developers, property owners, engineers, architects, brokers, lenders, attorneys, and general contractors. In my role, I’m able to be a part of a project at the very beginning stages and see how all of the key players work toward a common development goal. Aspects such as that make me passionate about this industry and its contributions to our community.”

Deidra graduated with a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is also a Colorado native and attended Arvada High School.

Deidra is currently the Co-Chair of the NAIOP Colorado Chapter’s Developing Leader program and a member of CREW, ULI, the Denver Metro Chamber 100 Program and SMPS. Deidra also volunteers and supports events for the Special Olympics of Colorado and the Colorado MS Society and recently participated in the Nuggets Ability Camp for special needs kids.

Deidra is married and lives in Reunion. In her free time she enjoys playing on a soccer league at Dick’s Sporting Park and volleyball league at Wash Park, both with her husband. She also enjoys running, road biking and sculling at Frisco Bay Marina.

Deidra proudest achievement thus far is being selected for the NAIOP National Executive Leadership Discovery Program along with 20 other Developing Leaders across the nation. This Program led by Dr. Wayne Strom has been an incredible learning and introspective experience for Deidra and she highly recommends it for other Developing Leaders looking to grow professionally and personally.

Deidra would like to continue to learn more about the direct roles of each player in the real estate process and how everyone fits into the overall picture. She would also like to assist her firm in growing nationally for both conventional surveying services as well as 3D laser scanning.
