Welcome to the Colorado Chapter of NAIOP!
Now that you’re on our website, you will find all you need to know about NAIOP at the Colorado level. As I prepare to serve as Chapter President for 2012, I reflect on my prior experience in this position in 1988, when our chapter was relatively new. It is gratifying to see how much NAIOP has grown in membership and influence over the years as a real force in the world of commercial real estate.
Our Vision Statement really says what NAIOP is all about: “Advancing responsible commercial real estate development, investment, and ownership.” If you’re in any way involved in commercial real estate as a broker, owner, developer, or service provider, you’ll want to get involved with NAIOP. I can say from experience that NAIOP really excels in providing networking opportunities for its membership at our monthly events. If you want to meet the active players on the Colorado real estate scene, just show up for one of our programs – you’ll find it’s very much worth your while.
Our Mission Statement defines how we accomplish our Vision: “NAIOP represents commercial real estate developers, owners, and investors of office, industrial, retail and mixed-use properties. It provides strong advocacy, education and business opportunities, and connects its members through a powerful North American network.” As citizens of our city, state, and country, and are involved in the business, educational, philanthropic, and political aspects of our lives, and strive to make a positive difference on all fronts.
Perhaps most importantly, you will meet and interact with a great group of professionals in NAIOP Colorado. The friends and business connections I have made through my association with NAIOP over the years has served me well in both my professional and personal life.
So show up, sign up, and get involved – you’ll be glad you did.
I look forward to working with you and my fellow NAIOP officers and members to make a positive difference in our community in 2012.
Best regards,
V. Michael Komppa
2012 NAIOP-Colorado Chapter President
